Peter Martell

What did you after Athens?
Moved out of Athens in the spring of 1972 to do my student teaching. Returned once in 1975 for a visit and then not again until 2001.

Family
Married to Ellen since 1971. Have 5 children - 3 boys and 2 girls including 15 year-old twin boys.

Career
Went to work in the ice arena business and have remained in that industry since. Have worked in Columbus, New York City, Houston, Los Angeles, and Dallas and most cities in between. Spent 17 years with a subsidiary of Ice Capades and now am running a non-profit trade association for ice arena owners and operators based in Dallas.

Additional education
Just the School of Hard Knocks plus a number of industry specific schools and certifications.

Dublin and Westerville, Ohio; Berkeley Heights, NJ; Houston; TX; La Canada, CA; Plano, TX.

Recreation/hobbies (soccer?)
Continued to play soccer regularly until about 10 years ago when injuries forced retirement from playing. Now do a lot of refereeing for youth, adult and high school leagues. Also have become an avid saltwater fisherman, spending quite a bit of time in Baja, Mexico over the last 20 years or so.
